Mixtape Release Dates: Young Buck, JR Writer, Waka Flocka Flame and French Montana

Mixtape Release Dates: Young Buck, JR Writer, Waka Flocka Flame and French Montana
Thanksgiving weekend gave us more than we bargained for, while Waka Flocka and French Montana prep a December mixtape, and we might finally hear Young Buck's "Bond Money" in 2011.
If there is some statistical evidence to support that Hip Hop fans hang out on the internet during holidays, then it should be sent directly to us and every rapper in existence. Regardless of those numbers (wherever they may be), artists find it highly appropriate to drop some new music during the holidays. During the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, over ten mixtapes dropped. That's alot of unexpected (well some was expected) music to bump through turkey leftovers. The most intriguing?
Perhaps it was Lupe Fiasco's "Friend Of the People," which includes the track "Lightwork" featuring a sample from our Music Editor's (that's me) favorite artist Ellie Goulding. You may remember Ellie from Tinie Tempah's "Wonderman." Another surpise was Mac Miller's "Black Friday" mixtape. Apparently Miller already had this one in the cooker and no one knew about it. Either way, it's out now. Vado even stepped back in the ring with "Slime Flu 2." When is that "Boss Of All Bosses 3" with Cam'ron dropping anyway? In addition, we met Mos Def's new alias Yasiin Bey on the new Black Star mixtape "Aretha."
This week JR Writer delivers "SS3" and then it's radio silence until December, when J-Hood gives "#NoHandouts" on December 5th and Riz goes to "Kiss the Ring" on December 6th. Triple Cs' Gunplay moved his "Bogota" mixtape to December 7th, and then Waka Flocka Flame and French Montana are on "Lockout" for December 9th. To close out the month, Omen plans "Black Hero Theme Muzik" on December 25th (again with the holiday releases) and Phil Ade drops his "#PhilAdeFridays Volume 2" mixtape on December 30th. The rest is left up to the purveyors of the mic, and as always, everything is subject to change.
In brighter news, our friends at DatPiff have placed Young Buck's "Bond Money" back on the "Coming Soon" list. Is it "Coming Soon"? Let's hope so.
