Five people were shot at a Chris Brown performance in San Jose over the weekend. All are expected to survive.
A shooting broke out at a Chris Brown concert early Sunday morning that left five injured and many shaken up.
Performing at Fiesta nightclub in San Jose, California, the singer was on stage trotting out his hit song "Loyal" when a fight broke out. After seeing what was going on Brown said, “Oh them niggas is getting it in over there.” Those would be some of the last words spoken before gunfire exploded as fans darted for the exit.
According to the Mercury News four people suffered gunshot wounds after officers assessed the scene. Another victim would later walk themselves to the hospital with a gunshot wound. Police say all people injured are expected to survive and multiple people were detained during the incident. No official details of what happened have yet been released by the authorities however.
Chris Brown later took to Twitter to assure fans that he himself was alright after the shooting, although his tweet would later be deleted. This is the second time within a year that a shooting has happened at an event Chris Brown attended. Last August, Suge Knight was shot at a MTV VMAs pre-party that Brown hosted at 10AK nightclub in West Hollywood. Knight waslater released from the hospital and is doing fine.
