Mixtape Release Dates: OJ Da Juiceman, Kid Ink, Hell Rell, Shawty Lo

Lots of mixtapes sit in limbo this week, as Short Dawg plans for a Halloween mixtape, OJ Da Juiceman becomes the "Lord Of the Rings" and new music in the pipeline from Shawty Lo.

We're already into the second full week of October, and only a few things have really popped off on the mixtape front. Styles P gave us a "Master of Ceremonies" mixtape at the close of September, just in time to drop his Master Of Ceremonies album a week later (read the review). What happened to all of the pre-album mixtapes we were hoping to receive? Bow Wow held up his end of the deal when he dropped "I'm Better Than You," and so did Young Jeezy with "The Real Is Back 2" (too bad TM103 won't drop until December) but so many rappers have promised so many projects, we're left wondering if 2011 will see any of them. Thankfully, a few seem to be sticking.
Today, Kid Ink will get his "Wheels Up" with his new mixtape. Ink recently dropped the track "Stop" with Tyga and 2Chainz. Both Tyga and 2Chainz have been strutting their stuff with new music as well. Tyga will be dropping his album Careless World: Rise Of the Last King on November 11th, while 2Chainz (formerly Tity Boi) will drop his mixtape “T.R.U. REALigion” on November 1st. Both artists have been leaking songs like crazy, as Tyga had "Pop It" and a reworking of Drake's "Still Got It." 2Chainz got T.I. on one of his first post-prison tracks, "Spend It (Remix)," so you know he's good to go.
Last month, Lloyd Banks said that "Cold Corner 2" would be dropping "within two weeks." We're still waiting on that, but in true random mixtape delivery fashion, that could arrive any day now. While you hit refresh on the internet for that one, be on the lookout for Shawty Lo's "Dun It All" and former Dipset member Hell Rell's "Black Cloud" mixtape. Until then, check out Hell Rell's interpretation of The Throne wth "Gangstas In Paris."
