Hip Hop Album Sales: Game, Hoodie Allen, Chris Brown
Chris Brown’s X At #23
Just over a month after becoming his fifth #1 album upon release, Chris Brown’s X fell two spots to #23 with a 25 percent drop in sales last week. Selling 12,298 copies last week, X has now sold 234,907 after debuting with an estimated 145,000 sold the first week, his second most successful first-week sales numbers after F.A.M.E.
Lecrae's Anomaly Falls To #39
After earning himself the first #1 album of his career with the release of Anomaly in September, Lecrae’s sixth album sold 8,674 copies last week, a three percent dip in sales from the previous, keeping him just inside the Top 40. Anomaly sold approximately 88,000 copies its first week and became the first album to crown both the general Top 200 and Gospel charts simultaneously. The Reach Records release has since tallied a total of 234,907 units sold.
